A.R. Reward
Last week, we had an A.R. Party reward day with bouncy houses. Students enjoyed their time sliding and bouncing! They have definitely worked hard for this meeting all 4 A.R. goals!!Mining Coal!
We went mining in class last week using chocolate chip cookies. We mined useing a toothpick as our tool. We discuseed the importance of coal and how it is an important resource. The had a time limit to mine as many pieces of coal (chocolate chips) as possible and received money for the unbroken ones and lost money for any broken pieces or broken cookie.

Courtyard Completion Ceromony & Ribbon Cutting
Friday April 20th Courtyard Ceromony in honor of the completion and Earth Day!
Thanks to Citizens Bank for Donating the wonderful benches, Cumberland County High School classes for their hard landscaping work and building the benches. Also, thanks to Wanda Gilbert, Sue Elsie Flowers and FRYSC for helping to get the grants! A big Thanks to 4th Grade Students for all their hard work! This courtyard looks wonderful

Creating Rulers
Students were able to create their own ruler this week in centimeters and measure objects with their ruler.
4th Grade Courtyard Project
4th Grade is teaming up with the High School Ag classes and FFA to landscape our courtyard at CCES! The project is underway and looking great! Students were able to work with high school students to find the area and perimeter of the rectangular flower bed and then take part in planting plants and landscaping.
Solar System Projects
Students completed solar system project this year during our Space Unit in Science. We had some very elaborate and unique projects! Awesome job!!
